Moth Biolbitz
Tuesday June 30th - 9:30-11:30pm. - Cedarcroft Nature Reserve
Join us to observe moths after dark and learn about their importance in our local ecosystems!
We will set up a mothing sheet and lights to attract moths. We will then be able to observe them up close and take photos to upload to iNaturalist. We expect to see a wide diversity of species - we’re secretly hoping to spot a luna moth!
This is also your opportunity to access Cedarcroft, Nature London’s private nature reserve. The exact location of the reserve will be shared upon registration. This beautiful plot of land is typically only open to Nature London members.

Before you join us...
What to Bring
It's helpful to have a flashlight or headlamp to navigate around the area in the dark. Feel free to bring a lawn chair to rest while we wait for moths to appear. You can stay for the full event or just pop in for a short time if you’d rather not stay up too late. All ages are welcome.

What is a bioblitz?
During these events, guides will show you how to explore an area to find all kinds of diversity that you never knew was all around you! These events are more focused on exploring. We will make iNat observations and share information about some of the interesting species that we find along the way.
All of our events are for anybody - no prior knowledge or experience is required!
